Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Clinical Coordinator to join our Primary Care Group team. The ideal candidate is a decisive leader with strong communication, administrative, and clinical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Clinical Coordinator will oversee daily operations, support staff, and ensure high-quality patient care across multiple clinic locations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Coordination:
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff, assisting with problem resolution and patient care.
- Manage recruitment, screening, and onboarding of clinical personnel in collaboration with HR.
- Oversee provider and staff onboarding, ensuring correct access and privileges in Athena.
- Standardize core clinic functions to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Maintain staff schedules and oversee time and attendance documentation.
- Act as department lead in the absence of the Nursing Director.
Patient Care & Compliance:
- Support clinical staff in providing direct patient care, including intake, documentation, and interventions.
- Perform CLIA-waived lab testing, venipuncture, and diagnostic procedures under provider supervision.
- Administer vaccinations and medication injections according to protocols.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards.
Operations & Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with internal departments (Lab, Pharmacy, Materials, EVS) to maintain quality standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Oversee supply inventory and organization for existing and new clinic locations.
- Facilitate participation in disaster preparedness drills and emergency response planning.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education: Associates in Nursing. LPN or MA with extensive experience in ambulatory care also accepted.
- Certifications:
- Licensing appropriate for education background.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Driver’s License & Auto Insurance (for multi-clinic support).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare leadership or coordination role.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and office systems.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred:
- Education: RN degree.
- Experience: Prior work in a medical office setting.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Fast-paced clinical setting requiring multitasking and prioritization.
- Physical requirements include lifting (<35 lbs), bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
- Exposure to public health risks and environmental conditions such as ice/snow in winter months.
