Gritter Francona, Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Architect to play a pivotal role in the enhancement and redesign of organizational frameworks for the VHA Office of Health Informatics (OHI). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise IT design, specifically focusing on processes, data, and other enterprise architecture components. This role involves integrating business architecture and information models into the overall VA architecture repository, directly supporting the improvement of VHA's strategic goals and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Enterprise IT Design & Architecture Development:
- Design and develop comprehensive enterprise IT architectures that address process optimization, data integration, and alignment with enterprise architecture components.
- Lead initiatives to enhance and redesign organizational frameworks, improving efficiency and effectiveness across the VHA.
- Process and Data Integration:
- Collaborate with business owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to model and document business processes and data flows.
- Integrate business architecture models with data and information models, ensuring coherence, traceability, and completeness.
- Architecture Framework Alignment:
- Ensure all enterprise architecture models align with VHA's Capability Architecture and Business Function Framework.
- Integrate models into the VA architecture repository, maintaining compliance with established standards and practices.
- Enterprise Architecture Governance:
- Provide guidance on best practices and methodologies in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Promote consistency and interoperability across VHA's business processes and information systems.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with other VA architects, sharing VHA Business Information Model (BIM) content to support solution design and investment governance.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to facilitate the integration of architecture models into business processes.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to executive leadership.
- Highlight key achievements, identify potential risks, and propose opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years' experience
- Prior experience supporting federal/state government entities highly desired
