Our parent company, S. Balolia Holdings, has an immediate opening for a skilled maintenance technician. This role requires a hands-on individual with a broad skill set to help maintain rental and owner properties, perform landscaping and mechanical work, and operate tractors and other equipment as needed.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Property Maintenance

Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and light carpentry work.

  • Coordinate with city officials for rental property inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, property owners, and contractors.
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance professionals and contractors.
  • Landscaping

    • Operate large tractors, lawnmowers, trimmers, and other gas-powered landscaping equipment.

  • Perform routine lawn mowing on large-acre properties using tractor mower at multiple locations, especially in spring and summer.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems.
  • Mechanical & Equipment Operation

    • Conduct basic mechanical repairs; welding knowledge is a plus.

  • Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, tractors, dump trucks, and dozers.
  • Property Monitoring & Security

    • Regularly inspect properties for transient activity.

  • Work with local law enforcement (Bellingham Police Department and Whatcom County Sherriff's Department) on clean-up, signage, and other security measures.
  • Job Site Flexibility

    • Travel between multiple job sites daily, sometimes with last-minute changes.

    Job Requirements :

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of landscaping tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Must have own vehicle and clean driving record
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, light carpentry
  • Friendly demeanor and ability to communicate
  • Welding knowledge a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Organized
  • Ability to meet deadlines
