Job Title: Financial Manager
Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Companies Managed: Phillips Cruises & Tours LLC, and Grizzly’s Inc. (DBA., Grizzly's Gifts and The Historic Anchorage Hotel).
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Manager to oversee the finances and administrative needs of 3 businesses: Phillips Cruises & Tours LLC and Grizzly’s Inc. (DBA., Grizzly’s Gifts and The Historic Anchorage Hotel). This role includes managing financial planning, reporting, compliance and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare financial reports (monthly financial returns, quarterly payroll, annual business property tax returns).
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgeting.
- Conduct financial forecasting.
- Ensure tax compliance and financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain all records for submission to accountant/CPA.
- Proficient with 10 key.
Licensing & Compliance:
- Track and renew business licenses, permits, and certifications.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain records of licensing deadlines.
Contracts & Agreements:
- Review contracts and maintain a contract database.
- Ensure timely contract renewals or terminations.
- Work with legal advisors as needed.
Administrative Paperwork:
- Organize and maintain business documents (corporate filings, insurance, etc.).
- Serve as a contact for auditors and regulatory agencies.
Cross-Company Coordination:
- Collaborate with managers to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Provide regular updates to partners and assist with cost-saving strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- At least 5 years of financial management experience.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with Alaskan business regulations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in tourism, retail, or hospitality is a plus.
- CPA or similar financial certification is a plus.
