God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness, stress management, and community outreach.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated HR Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring we attract, hire, and retain top talent. This role requires a keen understanding of our business needs and a passion for connecting with candidates while maintaining strong engagement with our active staff. The HR Coordinator will take ownership of the full life cycle of a new employee from onboarding to offboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profiles.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
- Maintain recruiting status for hiring managers including managing biweekly meetings for status updates
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events.
- Screen resumes and conduct interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams and candidates.
- Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Provide a positive candidate experience through timely communication and feedback.
- Assist in the development of employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's presence in the job market.
- Conduct human resource new hire orientation
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, training coordination, and resources provision to ensure a smooth transition.
- Develop and maintain onboarding materials and checklists to enhance the onboarding experience.
- Oversee offboarding procedures for departing employees, including exit interviews and ensuring the return of company property.
- Maintain relationships with alumni and leverage them for potential future talent acquisition.
- Conduct post interviews for new hire feedback after orientation and 30 days post hire.
- Assist in benefits administration
Work Environment:
- Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week
- Onsite Required
- Travel less than 10%; some may be needed for events or to company site locations

- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems, job board platforms and HR software.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required with addition to some college coursework in the field of human resources, administration or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in recruitment, preferably as a Hiring Specialist or in a similar role.
