Landscape Installation Technician - WORK AVAILABLE NOW!

In this role, you will be installing new landscapes or renovating existing landscapes. This includes: pavers, sod, irrigation, retaining walls, water features.

Responsibilities:

Field Work-

• Operate automatic and stick shift vehicles, such as dump trucks and truck and trailer combinations. Responsible for driving crew to jobsites.
• Operate hand, electric and gas-powered landscape equipment.
• Perform digging for grading, trenching and plant installation.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters or other grounds features.
• Care for natural turf fields, making sure the underlying soil has the required composition to allow proper drainage and to support the grasses used on the fields.
• Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds.
• Plan or cultivate lawns or gardens.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Gather and remove litter.
• Move soil, rocks and debris.
• Work with Technicians in the de-icing and removal of snow and ice from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties.
• Install, maintain, and repair complex irrigation systems:

1. Understand basic pipe sizing and irrigation design.

2. Install controller that operates irrigation systems.

3. Inspect properties and generate reports to ensure the proper service.

4. Troubleshoot and repair commercial / residential irrigation systems.

5. Make necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain all systems in proper working condition.

• Conduct loading, unloading and carrying of materials.
• Assist in interacting with clients by way of answering questions, responding to client requests and making reasonable changes to the plan.
• Ensure that job is completed in the most time-efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
• Supervise layout and installation per customer proposals and plans
• Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.
