Machine Shop Capacity Planner

The requirements of the Capacity Planner will include assessing and analyzing part prints to determine the best process for Manufacturing. This person will work in a team setting to determine how to improve efficiency and perform research to measure changes in production requirements. This person will help to identify bottlenecks that impact the capacity of the Machine Shop, evaluate and identify areas needing improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret part prints to determine the best solution for Manufacturing
• Route and release part prints according to Machine Shop capacity needs
• Communicate clearly with the Management team to determine the best process for part production

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Milling and Turning experience is a plus, but not required
• Vast knowledge of Machining, Tooling & Fixturing, able to determine the best Manufacturing process to ensure quality parts
• Knowledge of Heat Treatment processes such as Plasma Nitriding and Case Hardening
• Knowledge of NX Cam software is a plus, but not required
• SAP knowledge and experience is preferred
