*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated Produce Lead to join our team! The Produce Lead position is a leadership position that requires the ability to plan, organize, and deliver positive results based on multiple factors characteristic to the retail industry. The Produce Lead must multi-task in a fast-paced environment, provide superior customer service, train and lead others, and engage in a moderate to high level of physical activity.
A Produce Lead’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Inventory on hand product levels and mix of Produce and Floral product; use available tools to order product that meets the inventory levels for expected sales, includes a variety of product mix, and meets or exceeds the set SKU count, profit margin, and sales goals.
*Plan, create, and sustain various displays inside and outside of the store utilizing Grocery Outlet’s merchandising and marketing direction, including cross merchandising with other departments.
*Verify product quality and quantity received compared to invoice, initiate any credits for shortages or quality issues, initiate pickups for overages, and follow up to verify credit received.
*Systematically rotate and work produce loads by sections and replenish with backstock daily as needed.
*Perform daily culls to maintain maximum freshness and quality.
*Diligently follow the established food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
*Execute daily and weekly price changes as required.
*Support price integrity with daily updates of shelf tags and signage.
*Perform case and cooler cleaning, and deep case cleaning on a weekly and quarterly basis.
*Direct, train, lead, and collaborate with other team members.
*Perform any and all duties in any department or capacity as needed to fulfill the needs of the business.
*Communicate respectfully with all personnel and customers.
*Uphold all policies and procedures as outlined in the policies and procedures manual.
*Protect the goodwill and reputation of the Grocery Outlet Brand and the Independent Owner/Operator.
*Prior experience in a grocery store produce department is preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
