What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Supervisor Texas position at Grocery Supply Company?
This position is for a Service Merchandise Supervisor for a grocery distribution company for South Texas (San Antonio region). The Supervisor position is charged with managing the Service Merchandise Representatives and Regional Merchandisers to provide our customers with excellent service within the categories at store level in which Service Merchandise services. The position will be base salary plus commission, with car and communication allowance.

Prefer past management experience
Prefer Merchandising and Route Sales experience
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to meet fixed deadlines and manage under pressure
Ability to persuade and convince others
Knowledge of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
Good driving record
Maintain a valid driver license
Prefer College Degree or equivalent in industry experience
Plan-o-gram knowledge
Willingness and ability to travel on a regular basis (15% - 20%)
Ability to interview, hire, and train employees
Conduct monthly sales meetings with merchandisers
Excellent business math skills
Maintain a good relationship with customers
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
