Job Duties(Assistant Project Manager)
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Initiate and maintain communications with clients, architects, engineers, and trade contractors.
- Assist with project planning, including site logistics and site-specific safety plans.
- Work with Superintendent/foremen to direct the building process on site and to maintain construction schedule.
- Assist in schedule sequencing, tracking, and updating.
- Review subcontractor and vendor invoices and assist in preparation of monthly payment requisitions.
- Assist with change orders, RFIs, and PCOs.
- Responsible for / assisting with material and labor tracking and on-time delivery assurance including tracking variance from construction estimate.
- Job site documentation management. Responsible for making sure all contracts/submittals, etc. are on site.
- Facilitate and attend meetings that are relevant to the successful completion of the job (e.g., progress meetings)
- Assist project managers with preconstruction processes.
- Assist with development and management of project punch-lists.
- Manage the inspection process as directed by Superintendent and/or Project Manager.
- Work environment includes both office time and site visits to construction project sites.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in A/E/C field. Relative experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam & Procore and other relevant, construction/general office related software.
- Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and able to prioritize duties to meet assigned deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work well within a deadline driven environment.
