Job Summary:
The Services Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the services team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality roofing services to our clients. This role involves coordinating service projects, managing customer relationships, overseeing service technicians, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The Services Manager will also play a key role in enhancing the customer experience and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor the service team, including technicians and customer service representatives.
- Oversee and coordinate the scheduling, dispatching, and completion of service requests for residential and commercial clients.
- Ensure all service jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor service department performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement improvements where needed.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless project transitions between service and installation departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Assist in preparing quotes, estimates, and invoices for service-related work.
- Manage inventory and ensure that the service team has the necessary tools and equipment to perform their tasks efficiently.
- Help train and develop team members, providing ongoing feedback and guidance to improve skills and performance.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and complaints, working towards positive resolutions.
- Maintain records of service requests, completed work, and customer interactions using company software.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a management role, preferably in the roofing, construction, or home services industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to manage customer relationships effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques is a plus.
- Proficient in using service management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and general office equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a roofing or construction service management role.
- Experience managing service technicians and dispatching teams.
- Understanding of OSHA standards and safety protocols in construction or roofing.
