What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Electrical and Firmware Engineering position at Groe Advisors LLC?

Location: Waltham, MA (minimum 80% on-site)
This is a Hands-On Director level position!
The client is looking for someone to:
- Lead electrical and firmware innovation
- Forefront the development of critical electronics, firmware, and integrated systems
- Lead their team through the entire product lifecycle (concept-production)
- Ensure compliance with strict international industry standards

- Provide thoughtful mentorship, helping your team stay aligned with company priorities, while encouraging diverse ideas that lead to better solutions and stronger outcomes.
Desired Skills / Experiences:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in a related field, Masters or higher is preferred
- Digital electrical engineering design experience with MPUs, MCUs, Ethernet/PCIe/USB/SATA/I2C/SPI/UART peripherals, clock distribution, and Wi-Fi/cellular radio modules
- Working knowledge of the Linux CLI and RTOS fundamentals
- Experience with Consumer Electronics
- High Volume product experience
- Leadership experience (Team lead, program lead, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $190,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
