I. Job Objective
- Wide variety of duties involved with design, production, installation, and maintenance of cutting edge e-beam processors and subassemblies according to protocol.
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates standard and custom-built electronic instruments to measure the performance of the electron processor units and subassemblies
- Follows established procedures, calibrates circuits as necessary, records data and troubleshoots circuits from schematics to identify causes of failures. Repairs deficiencies and maintains records.
II. Essential Job Duties
1. Sets up, adjusts, and operates standard and custom-built electronic instruments to measure the performance of electronic circuits and subsystems.
2. Assist in the mechanical assembly of the Electron Processor.
3. Under supervision, follows procedures to test and calibrate new Electron Processor units and record test data in accordance with established ISO directives and quality procedures.
4. Perform maintenance on most types of manufactured Electron Processors at the customer’s facility.
5. Assists project management team to complete installations in an efficient manner.
6. Perform on-site dosimetry test.
7. Using established procedures, initiate corrective action for design or documentation discrepancies.
8. Write detailed technical reports on service calls and installations in a timely manner
9. Provide on-site customer operator and maintenance training
10. Proficient with using the business system to identify part numbers and to support testing of new equipment.
11. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Electron Processors and related technology.
12. Knowledge of system software and its interface with customer equipment.
13. Work closely with Engineering department.

- Actively look for new ways to perform work to yield improved efficiencies and reduced expenses.
- When appropriate, initiate, generate, prepare, and distribute timely, accurate and appropriate internal/external data, reports, and analysis, to assist management.
- Maintain professional image and appearance in person and via phone.
- Maintain internal and external customer service focus.
- Work with other teams to ensure cross-company documentation is current and accurate.
- Participate with other staff to cross train and perform other functions, ensure back up, schedules, and deadlines are successfully met.
- Recognize and resolve problem situations, refer to supervisor, when necessary
- Perform other duties and special projects, as needed, to ensure high standards of service.

V. Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience troubleshooting circuits using schematics and all aspects of mechanical, electronic, and electrical equipment assembly and repair.
- Working knowledge of electrical test equipment.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude, experience with hand/power tools.
- Must maintain (without restrictions) valid driver’s license and passport.
- Detail oriented and self-motivated, time/task management skills.
- Keeps customers’ needs at forefront.
- Professional appearance on phone/in person.
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written, must be articulate, confident, use effective interpersonal and negotiation skills, when necessary.

VI. Education
- BS/AS degree in Electrical Engineering or training in a military Class A school or trade school with appropriate courses in electronics courses and/or training with proven knowledge and experience.
VII. Computers/Equipment:
- Comfortable in PC environment, MS Software or equivalent: Internet, e-mail, Windows, Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel.
VIII. Working Conditions, Physical & Mental Demands
- Must be willing/able to travel on short notice, up to 60% of time, periods of up to several weeks’ duration.
- Mfg. environment (in house/customer site) requiring standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting equipment (up to approximately 50 lbs.), lift assistance is available. May require working in awkward/confined space, awkward body positioning. Use of safety apparatus may be required for certain functions, including safety shoes, goggles, hearing protection, protective clothing/gear, face masks, respirators, etc.
- May require long hours to meet critical deadlines and project delivery dates, often with fluctuating workloads, high volume projects, possibly with minimal notice.
- Uniforms are worn in all manufacturing areas and at customer sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
