JOB SUMMARY
Are you an experienced Fabricator looking for a new opportunity with room for career growth? In this role you will dress or alter metal surfaces and perform miscellaneous shop duties as required. You will be utilizing machines and hand tools to make high quality components for high voltage bus system that generate power for our electrical infrastructure. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with 90° angle grind, drill press, benders, punch, metal roller machines, cut, saw, route, or sand metal surfaces using hand-held power tools and sanding pads/paper.
- Assist in the fabrication of non-standard parts and pieces.
- Perform housekeeping activities to keep shop area and equipment clean and organized.
- Perform miscellaneous shop duties as required.
- Working safely to achieve common production goals.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Basic blueprint reading (referencing only) measurement reading in both, inch/metric.
- Experienced using a variety of common hand tools such as (tape measure, center punch, square, cleaning equipment). Forming machines, rolls, punch shear, saw drills and overhead crane may be used/ horizontal CNC saws/ CNC plasma cutter.
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing grinder experience, preferred.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
