What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Technician II position at Groe Advisors LLC?
Job Summary:
Disassemble valve(s)/valve components, clean/sandblast valve/components and re-assemble valve(s)/components. May also have to pressure test assembled valve to verify rework. May require the use of a saw to cut bar stock to assist in the rework process. Assemble all other commercial or nuclear product lines using a variety of bench assembly tools and equipment. Conduct all activities in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and regulations.
How You Will Help:
-Work from operation traveler and Quality Assurance programs to disassemble customer-supplied valves and valve components, draw out and verify component parts and hardware from stock crib. Prepare and fill out all required records and forms.
-Work from prints, traveler, and oral instructions to prepare commercial or nuclear components for assembly. Check parts for visible defects. Prepare units and attachments for shot blast and paint operations as required, making sure that critical surfaces and orifices are protected.
-Assemble components for pressure testing, when required, according to specifications and procedures using a wide variety of bench assembly tools. May require the use of a saw to cut bar stock to assist in the reassembly process.
-Complete all paperwork including tagging of material, packing list, and material travelers. Insure that heat codes and other requirements are transferred to traveler sheets.
-Present products for inspection.
-Complete all entries in computer log including customer, shop order, unit size, and test recordings.
-Gather all valve, valve components and pertinent data together and deliver to shipping to be packed and shipped back to the customer.
-Maintain work area, along with machines, tools, and equipment in a safe, neat, clean and orderly condition.
-Perform all job functions in accordance with established operating procedures.
-Identify and assist in remediation of any and all safety hazards in the work place.
-May require some travel to support field service during outage season(s).
-Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
-Ability to lift 50 pounds
-Must be able to use measuring equipment such as measuring tapes, verniers and calipers, and read gauges.
-Must be able to be certified to operate a forklift and use hoists to pick up heavy parts.
-General computer skills

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
