There is an open Process Engineering Manager opportunity with a client in the Manufacturing space. The company is headquartered in Milford, NH. They provide component manufacturing to clients, mainly in the Aerospace and Automotive industries to support volume production and just-in-time manufacturing.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related)
- Management level experience in the manufacturing industry
- Experience leading manufacturing process engineering efforts
- Industry experience related to metals manufacturing, foundry, component manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, etc.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Performs actions defined by customers to complete component manufacturing documentation
- Obtain customer approvals and interface with customer technical personnel to define the most producible and cost effective component
- Determines and carries out corrective action on manufacturing process
- Establishes operating equipment specifications,
- Works toward improving manufacturing techniques
- Introduces new process equipment to production and collaborates with design personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
- Reviews and evaluates engineering changes and/or other specification requirements
- Liaise with production planning and engineering personnel
- Make recommendations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
- Prepares engineering schematics and parts lists for system components to facilitate manufacturing planning.
- Contributes to work simplification, value analysis, work stations and methods analysis.
- Compiles and evaluates test and production data, prepares technical analysis, recommends production methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes.
- Conducts analysis of method and time standards.
- May drive targeted product and/or process improvement efforts.
- Assignments typically will include design and development, materials testing, preparation of specifications, process study, report preparation, and other activities requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in the specific area of assignments.
- May be involved in training and developing less experienced technical personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned.
