Opportunity at a Glance: The client is looking for a VP of Machine Learning & Sensors to lead their AI innovation in physical security technology. The selected candidate will head the client’s ML/AI team developing computer vision and modern deep learning solutions that process multi-sensor inputs (3D cameras, magnetics, X-ray) in real-time on constrained hardware platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role where the selected candidate is responsible leading a team of 10 highly independent PhD-level engineers with backgrounds including Electromagnetics, Computer Vision, and AI.
A general scope of the role:
Location: Waltham, MA (mostly on-site with a little bit of hybrid flexibility)
First Year Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Become familiar with the client's sensors, algorithms, and development processes
- Understand the real-time processing, hardware limitations, and environmental constraints
- Identify areas for improvement in model performance
- Create a roadmap for ML tools and infrastructure improvements
- Build and mentor a high-performing AI/ML team
- Create a scalable, rapid model development, validation, and deployment process
- Drive excellence and innovation in multi-sensor fusion algorithms
- Oversee the transition of Innovation Center products from POC to initial customer validation phases.
- Define and execute the company's sensor-driven AI strategy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $225,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
