Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Direct environmental and cleaning activities to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the development of environmental and cleaning policies.
- Oversee proactive maintenance to ensure all company cleaning racks comply with safety, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and implement controls to ensure environmental and cleaning procedures are followed.
- Manage the safe and efficient disposal of all waste (liquid or solid) leaving a facility or tank trailer, except for approved customer deliveries.
- Assist in emergency response efforts, including spill containment and cargo loss incidents.
- Conduct and oversee environmental audits for existing and future properties.
- Ensure terminals have required environmental plans in place and provide necessary training, including conducting required inspections.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with environmental consulting firms, assigning and overseeing engineering and remediation work, and ensuring billing accountability.
- Monitor operations to limit environmental liability, implement best practices, and ensure responsible environmental stewardship.
- Oversee compliance and integration of underground and aboveground fuel systems.
- Ensure completion of all mandated annual, quarterly, and monthly reporting required by regulatory agencies.
- Oversee emissions calculations and reporting as required by air permitting.
- Manage and maintain cleaning ticket administration, including cleaning codes and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to attain Associate Environmental Professional (AEP) certification and, subsequently, Registered Environmental Manager (REM) certification through the National Registry of Environmental Professionals.
- Supervisory or managerial experience in tank cleaning operations.
- Experience in the tanker industry.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including professional email correspondence.
- Initiative and innovation in problem-solving.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
- Experience and knowledge of environmental regulations.
- Strong financial analytical skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This role oversees and supervises all cleaning rack functions.
Work Environment:
- The work environment is primarily an indoor office setting; however, occasional physical indoor and outdoor activities are required.
