GT Mid Atlantic, LLC, a leading construction equipment dealership in PA, NJ, MD and DE, has an immediate opening for a Materials Processing Field Support Technician. This is a mix between a field service technician and sales support position specializing in the Aggregate and Materials Processing Industry. If you have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Material Processing Equipment such as crushers, screens, stacking conveyors, grinders, etc., and a sales aptitude, then this is an excellent opportunity to have a successful and lucrative career with a top dealer in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Equipment Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance procedures on material processing machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment malfunctions by systematically identifying and analyzing issues, utilizing diagnostic tools, and referencing technical manuals.
- Repairs: Execute mechanical repairs on machinery components, including replacing defective parts, adjusting settings, and calibrating systems to maintain operational efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor equipment performance and output quality
- Documentation: Maintain and update accurate records of activities, repair tasks, maintenance logs, work orders, etc.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Training and Sales Support: Provide guidance and training to other team members and/or customers on proper equipment operation, maintenance practices and safety protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic working in the aggregate industry with material processing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with a thorough understanding of hydraulic systems, hydrostatic systems, powershift transmissions, electrical systems, fuel systems, engines (diesel), etc.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, blueprints and equipment manuals.
- A customer-focused, detail oriented, self-driven flexible problem-solver who can assist both customers and sales staff in resolving technical and product information inquiries.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ability to move/operate heavy construction equipment.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position such as lift 50-100 lbs regularly and stand, kneel, push, pull, climb, reach, etc.
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Work overtime as required and maintain adequate tools for the position.
