Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.

Hardware Engineering Support Specialist Job Description:

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.  

Hardware Engineering Support Specialist Requirements:  

·       Coordinating and tracking engineering material orders

·       Periodic reporting of material status

·       Coordinating engineering material dispositioning

·       Maintaining inventory of engineering material

·       Document/file management

·       Gathering cost data for pricing evaluations

·       Coordinating meetings, taking minutes/actions, help drive closure of actions

·       Ad hoc tasks

Hardware Engineering Support Specialist Desired Skills:  

·       Strong organizational skills

·       Document management skills

·       Strong communication and reporting skills

·       Strong Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

·        Independent worker, minimal supervision, able to oversee / delegate work to support staff

Hardware Engineering Support Specialist Preferred Skills:  

·       Knowledge of material requirements planning (for 1 of the 3)

·       Experience with SAP or other Material Resource Planning tools (for 1 of the 3)

·       Experience with Bills of Materials

Hardware Engineering Support Specialist Additional Requirements:

·        Candidate must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.

·        High School level or equivalent education and/or some job experience or related degree.

·        Willingness to work overtime and off shift, if needed.

·        Possess excellent communication and writing skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
