GROOME INDUSTRIAL SERVICE GROUP is a growing company in Denville, NJ providing specialty maintenance services nationwide for several industries including natural gas-fired power generation, refinery, shipping, manufacturing, and aviation. We are seeking skilled painters with a strong work ethic and reliability to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in using a variety of paint products and materials, including primers, single stages, basecoats, and clearcoats. The ability to work on both small and large items individually or as part of a two-man team is crucial. The painter will be responsible for maintaining the flow of work within the paint booths, ensuring high-quality finishes, and working closely with the team to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply various paint products and materials (e.g., primers, basecoats, clearcoats) to different substrates.
- Mix and match paint colors using a paint scale and pulling paint formulas accurately.
- Paint both small and large items, working independently or as part of a two-man team for larger projects.
- Maintain efficient workflow through paint booths, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Assist with prep work before painting, ensuring surfaces are clean and properly prepared.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assist in handling waste paint materials and follow proper disposal methods.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a high quality of work and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and dependability.
- Experience with a variety of paint products and materials.
- Ability to achieve high-quality finishes and meet production timelines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred (but not required):
- Knowledge of pressure pot paint delivery systems.
- Experience with color matching or tinting for accurate color results.
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble basic parts/items.
- Ownership of personal tools or equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift experience.
