Responsible for directly monitoring, coordinating and overseeing the daily scheduled route operation of the vehicle, all while providing excellent customer service

Responsible for directly monitoring, coordinating and overseeing the daily scheduled route operation of the vehicle, all while providing excellent customer service
- Answer phones
- Use two-way radio to dispatch vehicles as needed
- Monitor vehicles using GPS tracking
- Communicate with drivers to maintain proper headways and spacing
- Communicate traffic or maintenance issues that
- Check road conditions/accidents on major routes and assess re-route possibilities
- Direct drivers on the radio about reroutes and accidents that effect service to customers
- Review driver schedules to ensure proper staffing
- Alert Operations Manager and Admin Assistant of any upcoming staffing issues
- Give drivers vehicle and route assignment
- Direct drivers as needed in absence of the Operations Manager
- Work varied shifts as needed
- Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least one 1-year experience handling multiple phone lines
- Software experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook and other Internet applications
- Prior experience working with a transportation system and GPS functions
- Ability to sit in one position for prolonged periods of time viewing a computer screen
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
- Complete pre-employment background check
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
