JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the Groomers Service Sales and Customer Service to ensure excellent customer experiences, drive sales growth, and maintain operational efficiency. This role involves coaching and supporting a team of sales and customer service representatives, ensuring they meet performance goals while maintaining company standards and policies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Groomers Service Sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing coaching and feedback.
- Implement sales strategies to improve customer engagement and conversion rates.
- Motivates and encourages team to achieve outstanding results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally among other departments to achieve sales results.
- Ensure a prominent level of customer satisfaction by maintaining service quality.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and find effective resolutions.
- Train and mentor the team on best practices for customer interactions.
- Supervise, schedule, and support the customer service and sales team.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Assist with hiring and training new employees.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and service issues.
- Work with management to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in planning and implementing trade show strategies.
- Attend trade shows: approximately 15-20 days per year
- Review and analyze sales calls to provide targeted guidance and performance feedback.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Ensure consistent documentation and utilization in HubSpot (CRM tool)
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- BA/BS in Business
- At least three years in a sales or customer service leadership role.
- Effective communication, sales techniques, problem-solving, and coaching abilities.
- Understanding of pet grooming industry is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
- Strong supervisory skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with HubSpot preferred
This position is onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in Sioux Falls, SD.
