JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Team Lead plays a hands-on role in driving sales growth and managing the Groomers Service Sales Team. This role involves actively selling, coaching team members, and ensuring sales goals are met through effective leadership and strategic execution. The Sales Team Lead works closely with the team, providing guidance, setting expectations, and ensuring alignment with company objectives to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and drive sales efforts to achieve or exceed targets while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Lead and oversee day-to day sales operations, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing coaching and actionable feedback.
- Implement sales strategies to enhance customer engagement, conversion rates, and service excellence.
- Motivate and hold the team accountable for achieving outstanding results in both sales and customer interactions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally among other departments to achieve sales results.
- Assist with training and developing sales team members to ensure consistent, high quality service.
- Ensure a prominent level of customer satisfaction by maintaining service quality.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and find effective resolutions.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions, tracking progress using HubSpot (CRM Tool).
- Assist in planning and implementing trade show strategies.
- Represent the company at trade shows (approximately 15-20 days per year).
- Review and analyze sales calls to provide targeted guidance and performance feedback.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- BA/BS in Business or related field preferred.
- At least three years in a sales lead or senior sales role.
- Strong sales techniques, problem-solving, and coaching abilities.
- Understanding of the pet grooming industry is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales while ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong supervisory skill.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM preferred.
This position is on-site in Sioux Falls, SD.
