This role is designed for a creative professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and has both the people and technical skills to create exceptional visual content that resonates with high-profile audiences and reflects the energy and sophistication of the Groot Hospitality brand.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, develop, and shoot original content ideas
- Strategize how content will live on social media verticals (YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok.)
- Provide updates to social/operations teams on planning and coordination for photoshoots (i.e. Vlogging, Lifestyle)
- Review/Advise on photoshoot shot lists, mood boards, and general directions
- Capture/Curate content that can be used across different media verticals (i.e. Social, Web, Print, Etc.)
- Capture high-quality photos and videos that enhance the brand identity and support the personal branding of key figures within Groot Hospitality.
- Create content that reflects an in-depth understanding of current social media trends, engaging audiences across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Develop visuals that seamlessly blend luxury, culture, and the dynamic energy of Miami’s lifestyle.
- Edit photos and videos with precision using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
- Optimize content for various platforms, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with Groot Hospitality’s brand standards.
- Provide real-time coverage of ongoing content pillars, high-profile events, activations, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Deliver quick-turnaround edits for immediate use on social media and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with celebrity clientele and key stakeholders to conceptualize and execute content that enhances their personal brand.
- Understand the nuances of personal branding, maintaining a balance between authenticity and strategic storytelling.
- Stay ahead of social media trends, algorithms, and platform updates to ensure content remains fresh and impactful.
- Incorporate elements of pop culture, fashion, art, and nightlife into visuals to reflect Groot Hospitality’s influence within the cultural landscape.
- Report into and work closely with the Director of Content to develop innovative content strategies.
- Offer creative insights that push boundaries while staying true to the brand’s vision.
- Ensure all content reflects Groot Hospitality’s reputation for luxury, innovation, and cultural relevance.
- Represent the brand professionally while working with celebrity and VIP clientele.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Creative and proactive with assigned tasks and responsibilities
- Experience working with personal, luxury or hospitality brands.
- Familiarity with Miami’s culture, nightlife, and entertainment scene.
- Knowledge of motion graphics or animation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a videographer/photographer, with a portfolio highlighting personal branding, celebrity work, and lifestyle/hospitality projects.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content strategies.
- Expertise with professional camera equipment, lighting, and editing software.
- Ability to create visually compelling, on-brand content under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional professionalism and discretion when working with high-profile individuals.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and short-notice assignments.
- Ability to work independently to accomplish objectives as laid out in independent contractor agreement.
- Minimum of 5-7 years in the industry required
- Solid time management, organization, and prioritization skills
