Position Overview :

The Parts associate sells parts to customers over the counter or on the phone and ensures that every customer understands parts delivery ETAs and associated charges. The Parts associate will accurately transact retail and wholesale parts sales and promptly address customer inquiries. The Parts associate gives a positive impression to every customer regarding their overall parts experience at the dealership.

This position is commission-based, and income opportunity ranges from $40,000 - $60,000 per year

  • Essential Functions :

  • Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer knows the entire product line.
  • Determine parts availability and submit orders as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Pull parts from stock and set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  • Verify ''will call'' and ''back-order'' files weekly, return them to vendors, or stock items that are not required.
  • Assist Service Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in the process.
  • Issue credit for returned parts, ensuring that the original invoice or its number is available to verify purchase and pricing.
  • Participate with the Parts Manager in maintaining a Lost Sale Tracking program.
  • Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and a drug screen for illegal substances
  • Authorized to work in the United States
