Job Summary:
As the Automotive Service Director, you will oversee the entire service department, ensuring high-quality customer service, efficient operations, and the achievement of financial and operational goals. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of technicians, advisors, and support staff while building strong customer relationships and maintaining high CSI scores.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the service department team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor service metrics, budgets, and KPIs to meet or exceed company goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OEM standards.
- Handle customer concerns and provide timely resolutions to ensure customer retention.
- Collaborate with parts and sales departments to align departmental efforts.
- Maintain inventory control and proper equipment maintenance schedules.
- 5 years of experience in automotive service management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of dealership service department operations, DMS systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds), and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ability to multitask, make decisions under pressure, and foster a team-oriented environment.
- Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
- Authorized to work in the United States
