Experienced Dental Assistant

Busy Pediatric Dental office seeking an experienced dental assistant. Must have exceptional people skills and work well with others. Bilingual and/or with an RDA license is a plus.

Groovy Smiles is a private pediatric dental practice seeking an experienced dental assistant for a full-time position to work in our amazing facility. We are looking for someone with a magnetic personality, humor, and a good work ethic to join our fun, unique, and creative team. As a pediatric dental office, we love working with children and are looking for someone who will make going to the dentist an exciting and fun experience for children of all ages.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare examination and treatment areas by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place.
• Assisting in updating and maintaining dental records with confidentiality.
• Perform basic dental procedures, such as patient x-rays, perform dental prophylaxis for children and administer nitrous oxide, and assist the dentist in 4 handed dentistry.
• Provide support to dentist and other team members as needed.
• Engage patients and parents in a manner that makes a trip to the dentist a fun and positive experience.
• Educate parents and patients on how to improve or maintain proper oral hygiene for optimal health.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year of experience is required. Ability to work with children AND parents. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with coworkers..

Pay ranges from $12.00-$22.00/per hour based on experience
