Senior Attorney - Family

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Attorney - Family to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court including trials and contested hearings and motions
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on family law matters, including Orders for Protection
• Negotiate settlements for clients, including preparing for and attending mediations, motions, trials, and SENE/FENEs
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
  
  

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice in Minnesota.
• 5-7 years experience as a licensed attorney, preferably in family law
• Familiarity with all rules and laws applying to the practice of family law
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• A self-starter, able to work independently when needed and also able to work with a team
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
