The ideal candidate will have a robust background in multiple legal areas, with a particular focus on contract drafting, civil litigation, and business transactions. Additional expertise in constitutional law, civil rights, and intellectual property will be highly valued.
Your role will encompass both transactional work and corporate governance, alongside ongoing civil litigation cases for both businesses and individuals, especially those aligned with non-profit interests focused on constitutional governance and challenging unconstitutional laws.
Duties
- Conduct in-depth legal research to formulate case strategies and support arguments.
- Draft, review, and refine legal documents, including contracts, motions, and pleadings.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements, advocating for optimal client outcomes.
- Represent clients in court and at administrative hearings, ensuring their interests are protected.
- Advise clients on their legal rights and responsibilities.
- Keep meticulous records of case files and client interactions.
- Work synergistically with senior attorneys and support staff to deliver comprehensive client service.
- Continuously update your knowledge on legal trends, laws, and regulations pertinent to our practice areas.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing with the licensing authority.
- A self-starter with a deep-seated passion for the law and constitutional principles.
- Proficient in legal research, with adeptness in using legal databases and resources.
- Exceptional writing skills for creating compelling legal documents.
- Demonstrated negotiation prowess.
- Experience in litigation with a track record of representing clients in court is advantageous.
- Capable of thriving in a collaborative team setting while managing a diverse caseload with efficiency.
- Ability to work with minimal support staff.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: commensurate with experience.
- Bonus: Performance-based, increasing percentage from cases and collected fees.
