Job Summary:
A GIGCC Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation and overall appearance of the Club’s facilities, ensuring welcoming and pristine environment for members and guests. This includes cleaning and organizing all areas of the Clubhouse, restrooms, dining areas, event spaces and offices while following Club safety standards and guidelines as well as operating a small laundry facility.
They also will promote a sense of camaraderie as teamwork and gracious hospitality are hallmarks of our club.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, hallways dining rooms, event spaces and office areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust surfaces to maintain a polished and professional appearance.
- Sanitize and restock restrooms with necessary supplies.
- Remove trash from designated areas and dispose of properly.
- Launder and fold linens and towels as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness before, during and after meal periods.
- Monitor and replenish supplies in member areas such as hand towels, tissues and toiletries.
- Respond to housekeeping requests from members, guests and management.
- Ensure a high level of hospitality by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Report any maintenance issues to management for a timely resolution.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Store cleaning equipment and supplies in a neat and organized manner.
Required Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25lbs, bend, stand and perform repetitive tasks.
- Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors depending on Club needs.
