Job Summary
Purpose Statement :
Grossmont Union High School District's Research & Evaluation Department is looking for Certificated staff to administer the English Language Proficiency Assessments of California (ELPAC) for the purpose of assessing the oral, reading, and writing proficiency in English of students meeting screening criteria.
Essential Functions :
Must be a proficient speaker of English (i.e., have complete command of pronunciation, intonation, and fluency, and the ability to correctly pronounce the full range of American English phonemes). (Title 5 CCR sections 11517.6-11519.5)
Important Comments :
Test Examiners maintain secure testing materials and ensure compliance with the program's legal and administrative requirements. Requires technological skills to use multiple online and software systems on multiple electronic devices (Chromebooks and / or iPads), providing the directions and scripts in the Examiner's Manual, and simultaneously scoring student responses against a State standardized rubric.
Work Schedule : 7 hours a day; TEMPORARY - The position is from 2 / 11 / 25 through 3 / 7 / 25
Salary : $48.60 per hour (no benefits) Paid mandatory three-day training starting on 2 / 11 / 25 - 2 / 13 / 25 (must pass the training in order to stay on for the full duration)
Length of Job : Four weeks (2 / 11 / 25 through 3 / 7 / 25)
