SPECIAL EDUCATION AIDE: Mild/Moderate
The job of Special Education Aide is done for the purpose/s of assisting in the supervision and instruction of Special Education students under the supervision of a certificated teacher in a special education or regular classroom; observing and documenting student progress; implementing plans for instruction; and providing clerical support to teacher. Incumbents in this classification provide direct academic support to students and teachers which directly supports learning.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

48 college credits completed, or an AA degree, or be able to demonstrate college level skills by passing the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam.
