Overview
GC is a local custome builder seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from contract to completion. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction management, with expertise in quality control, and supervising contractors. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and laborers.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimating and tracking expenses.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Utilize OneDrive or project management and documentation.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients and county inspectors.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of residentail construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
- Familiarity with all aspects of construction from foundation, framing and including all trades.
- Ability to complete material takeoffs to ensure accurate material is ordered to complete the project.
- Excellent budgeting skills with experience in construction estimating.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control throughout all phases of construction.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on deadlines while under pressure and time constraints and deadlines.
