Ground Control Property Services is seeking experienced and hardworking individuals to join our growing team as an Irrigation Repair Technician. DESCRIPTION
- Install and maintain irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties
- Installs, adjusts, repairs and replaces irrigation systems, irrigation controllers, sprinkler heads and/or valves
- Dig trenches and lay pipes for irrigation system installation
- Locate and repair broken pipes, irrigation heads, etc to ensure proper operation of systems
- Operate power tools and hand tools to complete irrigation projects
- Operate any company equipment safely and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of any used equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system issues
- Use of apps to track and log daily work
- Work alongside others, delegate, and distribute work tasks according to job site size, time, and available resources to ensure timely completion
- Winterization of irrigation and sprinkler systems
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- Irrigation systems experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of the basics of irrigation and sprinkler systems
- Valid Driver’s License
- Smart phone (required) to take photos and use apps to track work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable transportation (able to commute to New Boston, MI)
- Ability to work outside for extended periods
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
