Job Duties
· Ensure that all preventive maintenance is carried out in a timely manner as scheduled. Any preventive maintenance activity which results in longer downtime than originally scheduled must be reported to the USA Maintenance Manager & Plant Manager.
· Ensure that all preventive maintenance performed is documented on the preventive maintenance check sheet and maintained in computer system.
· Worksheets are to be handed in after all applicable preventive maintenance work is complete,
· Ensure that immediate attention is given to any machine and/or building maintenance concern that could be a hazardous or unsafety working condition, or safety compliance issue.
· Ensure that all preventive maintenance parts are available and that the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager are informed of all parts needed to ensure tasks are performed as required.
· Maintain computerized job tracking system in for all work performed. Use this data to analyse maintenance department costs and make recommendations to management as necessary in an effort to be cost effective for all jobs performed.
· Maintain inventory on maintenance items in computer system and issue inventory to proper jobs as per job tracking system.
· Assign required work to be performed to maintenance personnel. Oversee their work activities to ensure it is being performed to meet all safety and quality standards.
· Ensure that the Federal and State OSHA regulations and internal safe operating principles are in place and adhered to. Take every precautionary measure available in the task being performed to ensure the protection of the all employees and compliance of the Federal and State OSHA regulations and internal safe operating principles.
· Involve all appropriate personnel necessary to ensure compliance, safe working conditions and prompt completion of all necessary tasks. Ensure USA Maintenance Manager/Plant Manager is informed of all delays as necessary.
· Be the resource employee for all facility maintenance personnel ensuring availability as necessary and perform other work as assigned.
Education/Work Experience Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent with additional education or technical training a plus.
· Certification in industrial maintenance or equivalent work experience is an asset, along with the ability to read blue prints.
· Previous supervisory or lead experience in a similar role is an asset.
· Must have a minimum of 3 years experience performing machine maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of TS16949/ISO14001 requirements especially as it relates to machine maintenance and Significant Environmental Aspects would be beneficial.
· Must have a strong mechanical background and have a general understanding of the function and operation of fabricating equipment.
