Job Summary:
Create connections. Craft cocktails. And serve delicious food—all while delivering distinctive, memorable experiences for each guest. As a server and bartender, you bring energy and charm to every interaction, impressing guests with your beverage expertise, menu knowledge, and attention to detail. You are responsible for preparing inspired drinks, navigating menu offerings, and helping set the tone for a fun, welcoming experience. By engaging guests, upselling thoughtfully, and maintaining a polished, expertly cared-for environment, you play a vital role in crafting exceptional service and unforgettable moments.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks for bar and restaurant patrons
- Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
- Recognition of regulars and VIPs, and building guest profiles
- Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team.
- Maintain a clean and organized section, including setting up and breaking down stations, and readying the restaurant for the next shift.
- Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items according to current menu F&B matrices.
- Assess bar customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails according to specified recipes
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Maintain the bar and keep it clean and organized
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
- Uphold the high standards of Humble Spirit for service quality and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system.
- Working knowledge and ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks.
- Working knowledge of the proper operation of all bar equipment.
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
- Working knowledge of standard cash handling procedures.
- Current State Food Handler’s License and OLCC certification required.
- Be a team player. Be flexible with duties and responsibilities.
- Humility, patience, and resilience.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of related experience.
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
- Ability to learn cash register software used by pub.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
