Manager

Grounded is a first-of-its-kind destination in Downtown Mesquite—a hybrid retail lounge offering collectible minerals, curated house plants, and a cozy coffee and wine bar. Designed as a place to slow down and stay a while, Grounded blends hospitality, retail, and intentional community-building into one warm and welcoming space.

We are seeking a thoughtful, service-oriented Manager to lead daily operations, support our growing team, and help create a consistently meaningful experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small team, fostering a positive work environment that reflects our mission and values.
• Oversee daily operations including opening and closing duties, shift scheduling, and task delegation.
• Monitor and manage inventory for both lounge and retail, placing timely orders and minimizing waste.
• Deliver excellent guest service—resolving concerns, responding to questions, and ensuring guests feel seen and valued.
• Maintain accuracy and accountability in all cash handling and POS operations.
• Train and onboard new staff, reinforcing Grounded’s hospitality standards and workflow systems.
• Collaborate with ownership to improve processes, identify needs, and support business growth.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in retail, fast casual, or hospitality settings (café, plant shop, boutique, etc.).
• Warm and professional demeanor with a strong guest service mindset.
• Experience managing a team, scheduling shifts, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Comfortable multitasking and staying calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Toast or similar preferred).
• Sales experience and knowledge of plants, minerals, or wine is a bonus—but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
