Grounds For Sculpture is seeking part-time Visitor Assistants to join our Guest Services Department. This is a seasonal position expected to run through the busy summer months, with hours tapering off as the season winds down. This frontline role is critical in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Visitor Assistants support day-to-day operations by welcoming and assisting guests, selling tickets and memberships, maintaining safety and security, and sharing information about our exhibitions and events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Warmly welcome all visitors to GFS and provide assistance throughout the park
Serve as an ambassador for Grounds For Sculpture to promote an inclusive and accessible experience for all guests, members, donors, and volunteers
Enforce safety and security guidelines in all public spaces
Operate the point-of-sale system to process ticket and membership sales
Assist with Museum Shop sales, including product recommendations and merchandise knowledge
Answer visitor questions at the desk, around the park, by phone, and via live chat
Direct tour and school groups to exhibitions and events
Support event setup and assist with day-of details and logistics
Help manage traffic flow and parking
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Spanish fluency encouraged
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proven experience with database and point-of-sale systems
At least 1 year of relevant experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or a related field preferred
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
