This position is responsible for the coordination of Facilities and Operations (F&O) business-related services, including but not limited to; facility management, vehicle management, budget, audit, data/telecommunications, following policies and procedures, and making decisions based on best practices. It is responsible for the coordination of F&O support services for various Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) locations in the Upper Peninsula, including the Marquette District Office, the Core Repository in Gwinn, and satellite locations. This position develops, researches, analyzes, audits, and maintains district fiscal records and assures integrity of financial information and expenditures of appropriated funds. This position is responsible for processing monthly payments, and reports, as well as communicating with both internal and external partners. This position is responsible for coordinating office move projects, including reviewing and understanding floor plans for all EGLE locations, as needed.
The work location of this position will be Constitution Hall in Lansing, MI. However, the selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person). Employees approved for schedules that include remote work must complete that work within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed. When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Required Education and Experience
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

One year of professional experience.

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
OR
Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
OR
Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification.
OR
Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
OR
One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
- Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate's degree or two years of college.
Educational Substitution
College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.

Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.
Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
