Job Summary
The Irrigation Specialist is responsible for overseeing the design, maintenance and implementation of all components of the irrigation system, including mechanical and electrical systems. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, oversees the repair, preventative maintenance, maintains inventory and records for all equipment associated with irrigation. The position ensures the performance of GroundsPRO quality standards and the management of all resources to achieve confidence and exceptional service for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of design, maintenance, and implementation of all components of the irrigation system including start-ups and winterization.
- Oversees the repairs of the irrigation systems as needed.
- Preventative maintenance of the irrigation systems.
- Maintains inventory and records of all equipment associated with irrigation.
- Ensures the performance of GroundsPRO quality standards and the management of all resources to achieve confidence and exceptional service for our clients.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Assist with other duties as assigned. Off-season duties would include snow removal, landscape maintenance, and miscellaneous tasks around the Shop.
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years of proven irrigation experience in installation, inspection and repair.
- High school degree (or equivalent).
- State Driver’s License and insurable with company’s agent.
- Experience reading and writing work orders and/or service records.
- Must be self-motivated, reliable, hardworking and a team player.
- Demonstrate customer service and effective communication with clients A MUST.
- Must be reliable and on TIME.
- Professional demeanor, appearance with great organization skills
- Regularly required to stand. Occasionally, to sit, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to withstand strenuous work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Meet all applicable Federal and State mandated labor laws.
- Meet all applicable Department of Transportation requirements, including passing a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to communicate effectively, problem-solve and trouble shoot.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish a strong PLUS.
- All other duties as assigned.
