Job Purpose
This position is responsible for managing and participating in field operations within the landscape enhancements, detail services, and snow operations. Coordinates the procurement and scheduled use of staff, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure completion of work within safety guidelines, quality standards, and budget. Promotes the growth and development of field staff and assists them in executing their responsibilities. Coordinates the use of resources with other operational and sales activities within the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage staff, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to accomplish production schedules safely within established budgets.
- Understand contract specifications, ensure compliance, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for building, developing, training, and maintaining teams for efficient, safe delivery of company obligations.
- Supervise employees, approve daily time records, maintain attendance records, ensure safety policy compliance, and enforce uniform compliance.
- Participate in field operations to ensure efficient delivery, provide hands-on training, and meet quality standards.
- Maintain schedule boards and Aspire schedule, providing crews with necessary plans and documents for efficient execution.
- Complete all field reporting and documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Ensure all work is completed in adherence with safety policies and guidelines.
- Maintain proper inventory of materials, equipment, and other supplies to complete production activities efficiently.
- Monitor jobs for deviations in schedule, hours, costs, or execution and communicate to customers and associates as necessary.
- Support and participate in developing, refining, and implementing best practices in all operations, fleet, and safety areas.
- Participate in the execution and management of staffing, equipment, materials, and subcontractors for snow operations.
- Maintain a high level of good housekeeping and care of company assets and customer facilities.
- Support sales and marketing with solid production knowledge and service and assist in identifying and estimating enhancement opportunities.
- Strive for continuous self-improvement through continued education, collaboration with associates, and involvement in industry associations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture and five years of experience in the landscape industry
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Adequate computer and information technology skills
- Current driver's license and acceptable driving record
