Groundworks is seeking a talented Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to join our tribe in Olathe, KS!
As a Material Handler, you will use a variety of lifts (Swing Lift/Cherry Picker, Spider Lift, 30k Lifts, and 4 and 8k Ride-On Lifts) to move and store materials and tools in the warehouse.
The Olathe facility is a key part of our internal supply chain, responsible for the manufacture, storage, and distribution of materials and tools to our branch locations across North America.
This position pays $19 /hr, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities
Unloading received deliveries and placing in directed rack locations
Picking and packaging materials for shipment
Loading outbound trucks
Movement of materials throughout the facility to support manufacturing, receiving, and shipping
Maintain a safe, clean warehouse work environment
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
GED or High School Diploma
5 years' experience operating a variety of lifts in a warehouse environment (Swing Lift/Cherry Picker, Spider Lift, 30k Lifts, and 4 and/or 8k Ride-On Lifts preferred)
Experience with large 30k lifts strongly preferred
Experience operating a scanner
Ability to maintain a safe, clean warehouse work environment
Ability to procure OSHA certification and forklift license
Physical Requirements:
Standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling, driving, sitting, and lifting.
Working Conditions:
Material Handlers will be in a metal fabrication and warehouse environment.
