The Lead Machinist is responsible for Mastercam programming, CNC operations, and has strong knowledge of tools and machining techniques. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to fixture work creatively, and familiarity with AI-assisted machining software
Job Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (Haas lathe and 5-axis milling)
- Utilize Mastercam and CAM Assist or other AI software for machining processes
- Ensure precision and quality by selecting the appropriate tooling for lathes and mills
- Develop creative work-holding solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of CNC experience (Haas lathe and 5-axis milling)
- Proficiency in Mastercam for programming and setup
- Manual lathe and milling experience preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of tooling and machining techniques
- Ability to work independently and lead by example
