Our tax department plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with tax laws and optimizing tax strategies to support our company's growth.
Internship Overview: We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, self-motivated with the willingness to learn a variety of tax technical areas. The candidate should have excellent problem- solving skills, strong teamwork skills, strong work ethic, high professionalism, and effective oral and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft memorandums to document tax positions
- Assist in the preparation of Federal Income Tax Returns
- Research certain federal and state tax matters
- Assist with Fixed Asset processes
- Assist with various Property Tax functions
Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior status currently pursuing a degree in Accounting
- Preferred Minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA
- Strong interest in taxation and desire to pursue a career in tax
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
