The Loss Control Intern (LCI) would be responsible for assisting with tasks like:
- Creating and maintaining a database of insured contacts
- Conducting basic (Safety 101) virtual and telephonic risk assessments with smaller accounts
- Identifying loss trends and making basic recommendations to smaller accounts
- Following-up on open safety recommendations for loss control consultants
- Performing basic analysis of loss data for our loss control consultants
- Developing and editing safety training materials
- Researching industry best practices,
- Developing and providing basic recommendations for loss prevention strategies
- Gain exposure to different aspects of risk management, safety compliance and OSHA standards
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performing 10 virtual / telephonic service units per week
- Providing accurate trending data to consultants
- Developing documentation of virtual / telephonic service units
- Creating and sending follow-up letters and emails to our insureds
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student majoring in Business Administration, Safety and/or Risk Management studies.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Insurance industry is ideal
- Ability to clearly articulate complex information to others.
- Detail oriented with strong focus on quality of deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems and issues of all types.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ownership and accountability for deliverables
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with any department.
- Strong computer skill and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) skills
