What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Mold Technician position at Group Dekko Inc?
Mold set up, set molding parameters, and make necessary process adjustments necessary to maximize the output to achieve quality parts.
2nd Shift Position, Training possible on various shifts
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Mold changes/setting required by production.
2. Make sure process is set up to run quality parts in the quoted cycle times.
3. Ensure that molds are cleaned and put away in the location assigned to that mold.
4. Work on process when needed.
5. Preventative maintenance on presses is performed daily.
6. Clean and grease molds on a regular basis.
7. Ensure insert changes are done correctly as needed.
8. Make sure mold is set up for correct parts before taking first piece to QAS department.
9. Keep an eye on supplies that are used. Inform Supervisor when supply quantity is low.
10. Assist Supervisor when needed.
11. Assist with implementing mistake proof molding processes where applicable.
12. Establish and update process books.
13. Assist with continuous cost reductions through reducing cycle times, scrap reduction and process improvements.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
15. Safety – Maintain a safe work environment through the safe work practices established by Group Dekko. Read and follow the General Safety and Housekeeping Rules that are posted within your facility. Report any unsafe conditions to your immediate Supervisor.
Knowledge & Skills:
Education, Certificates & or Experience:
1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years molding experience in injection molding if no formal education.
