Group Delta is seeking a skilled Field Technician to support our Project Managers, Engineers, and Geologists in field testing, inspection, and lab work.
Key Responsibilities :
- Equipment Maintenance : Responsible for maintaining assigned testing equipment, ensuring all tools are set up, tested, and cleaned for optimal performance at project sites.
- Field Testing & Sample Collection : Travels to diverse project sites to conduct precise soils and asphalt testing, perform observational assessments, and collect material samples for lab analysis, helping ensure accurate project data.
- Laboratory Assistance : Assists with lab work, preparing samples for testing, documenting outcomes, and accurately recording visual and numerical observations for project integrity.
- Daily Reporting : Completes and submits detailed daily reports and material testing data sheets in a timely, organized manner to ensure up-to-date project documentation.
- Record Keeping : Maintains comprehensive records in project and drilling logs and updates electronic databases to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
Team Collaboration : Communicates effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Contractors to discuss project concerns and develop effective resolutions as needed.
Schedule Adherence : Committed to meeting project timelines, including occasional availability for night and weekend work, to support project requirements.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate :
- LA Grading, NDG, ACI and ICC Soils certification is a plus!
- 5 years of hands-on experience in soils and asphalt testing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.
