Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin. BETTER TOGETHER
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an onsite requirement until after the initial evaluation period.
The Billing Supervisor is responsible for a variety of tasks within Premium Revenue Cycle, including monitoring accounts receivable reports, collaborating with the Premium Reconciliation Specialists to ensure account accuracy, preparing journal entries, balancing accounts related to Premium Revenue Cycle, reconciling EPIC with the accounting system, assisting with audits, maintaining policies and procedures, recommending process improvements, and testing system upgrades.
Additionally, the Billing Supervisor manages the Premium Reconciliation Team, overseeing workflow, projects, and objectives. This role serves as a resource for staff on department policies and procedures, addresses customer concerns as they arise, and participates in relevant organizational meetings.

Job Specific Minimum Qualifications
1. High school graduate or equivalent with emphasis in business courses is required. Associate degree from an accredited technical college or school in accounting/business science, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. At least three (3) years of experience in accounting assistance in an insurance or healthcare setting is required.
3. At least one (1) year of supervisory or team lead experience.
4. Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices, procedures and regulations required.
5. Knowledge of mathematical, algebraic, and statistical concepts related to bookkeeping and accounting practices is required.
6. Knowledge of and ability to use computer software programs and systems including database, email, word processing, and MS Excel or other accounting spreadsheet software is required. Ability to use and or learn computer systems such as EPIC is required. Experience with EPIC required.
7. Demonstrated leadership experience.
8. Ability to train new and current staff is required.
9. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
10. Ability to investigate and analyze information, draw conclusions, and resolve issues.
11. Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long- range goals.
12. Ability to ensure that the daily work of the team is completed. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
13. Ability to communicate with courtesy and tact is required.
14. Ability to recognize, identify, and report problems is required.
15. Ability to be flexible and be a team player is required.
16. Ability to type 30 wpm accurately is required. Ability to use a keyboard extensively is required.
