Who We’re Looking For
The SunRiver Community and PMP Management is currently seeking a Lead Cook to assist in the Community Center Café. The Cafe serves pub-style food and also caters both small and large banquets serving anywhere from 30 to 300 people.
We are looking for kitchen help that has experience as a line or banquet cook and able to cook menu items from scratch. Prefer someone with good knife skills and that knows how to grill, sauté, braise and bake. Additional experience would include order taking and customer service.
Position Description: Our community is rated one of the top active adult communities in the state. We are looking for Staff members that complement our first-class team. Whether serving guests at the Poolside Café or banquet events, our culinary team is dedicated to delivering superior customer service to our community.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest culinary sanitation standards.
- This position will play a key role in food preparation, assisting with menu execution, inventory, ordering, and support for all food and beverage operations.
- This position is in a fast-paces environment and must demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- The kitchen lead will provide support to the Head Chef in running the communities’ Poolside Café and catered events.
- The Kitchen Lead will directly interact with the Events Team in planning, preparing, and implementing events.

- 3 years of resort or high-volume kitchen
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and work area
- Prepare a variety of dishes following recipes
- Produce consistent quality and presentation for all events
- Extensive Knowledge of food storage and sanitation regulations
- Dedicated to continuous improvement
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays which are based on the event schedule
- Comprehensive understanding of cooking techniques, knife skills, sauteing, grill, and scratch cooking
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding methods of inventory management
- Exceptional communication skills, including conflict resolution
- Problem solving, energetic, and dynamic attitude
- Ability to stand for long period of time, kneeling, bending, twisting, and working around hot surfaces
- Ability to lift 50lbs several time a day
- Provide support to the Head Chef, and step to run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
